LOCATION: Sales Cemetery is located in Quary Park at the Norfork Dam site. At the intersection of State Road 5 and 177 at Salesville take 177 northeast 1.4 miles to Picnic Drive at the entrance of Quarey Park. Once you turn on Picnic Drive take an immediate right and follow the paved road as far west as you can go to the back of the campground area. Park in the furthest cul-de-sac and the cemetery is located to your right on a small hill (not across the creek).

“Of Grave Importance” The Cemeteries of Baxter County , The Baxter County Historical Society 1994
“A walking survey reveals 6 upright unmarked field stones. They are located in an area approximately 150’ x 150 feet which indicates that the cemetery was quite large. Only the following has an inscription. The cemetery was named for the Sales family that had operated a ferry near the present dam site on the Norfork River.”
CONDITION: The cemetery had been completely overgrown with weeds chest high. In March 2011 the Baxter County Sheriff Department Inmate Program cleaned the cemetery to park like standards.
AGE: Oldest readable stone is 1873.
