HORN CEMETERY OVERVIEW *

Horn Cemetery is a small one located in a clump of trees at the end of Penrose Ln, which runs South off Baxter CR 55 (Old Military Rd), between Hwy 201 S and Hwy 126 S. It's very easy to find. You can drive right to it and park. There is a sign and a bench that someone has place there in the past several years.

CONDITION: This is a cemetery with only 3 old marked stones and one new marker placed in the last few years.(2001) It is evident that there are many more graves here. There are four cairns and several others marked by fieldstones. Some are sunken places like you find in most of these old cemeteries. A cemetery long forgotten until lately and someone has cleaned it up and placed flowers on some of the graves.(2001) This is on the Baxter County Inmate clean-up program and was last cleaned in Dec 2010.


AGE: Per Vera Reeves inventory the oldest stone is dated 1864 and the newest stone is dated 1870.
