NEW BUZZARD ROOST / TRACY CEMETERY *

LOCATION: New Buzzard Roost / Tracy Cemetery is located south of Henderson and east of Norfork Lake. From the Henderson, Norfork Lake bridge drive 6.5 miles on US 62 to the intersection of Fulton County CR134. This road turns into Baxter County CR91. Take CR134/CR91 southwest for 3.8 miles to the intersection of CR93. Turn northeast and travel on CR93 1.7 miles to the intersection of CR94. Turn north and trav el 500’ to the intersection of CR 139. Turn east and travel southeast on CR139 approximately 1.6 miles. The overgrown cemetery is on the left side of the road. The only standing gravestone is approximately 100’ feet of the road

The Corps of Engineers files provide the following legal description: SE corner of the NE ¼ of the SW ¼ of the NW ¼ of Sec. 11, T19W. R12W.

CONDITION: This cemetery is very questionable. The ACE plans show 30-40 graves being relocated. There are some questionable field stone 4-5, a wooden board shaped like a tombstone, and couple incomplete broken stones. The only complete marked stone has an individual not on the ACE list of graves to be transferred. The adjoining property owner has mowed the ACE property a couple of times, otherwise no maintenance. Fenced on two sides.

AGE: Relocated in 1943. Only marked stone is dated 1920
