Wanda B. Parnell, who was a life-long resident of Norfork, died Saturday (Mar 11, 1989) at Spelman Memorial Hospital at Smithville, MO. She was 64. Services for Mrs. Parnell will be at 2PM today at Galatia Assembly of God Church with the Rev. James Moore officiating.
Burial will be at Galatia Cemetery with Devon Blanchard, Ross Alexander, F.L. 'Lefty' Harvey, Vernon Cox, Leonard Cox and Mike Hall serving as pallbearers.
She is survived by three sons, Delman Parnell and Randy Parnell of Norfork, and Ron Parnell of Fort Smith; three daughters, Shirlene Redmon of Plattsburg, MO, Carle Rorie of Mt. Home, and Linda Dillard of Pineville; a stepbrother, Dwight Inskeep of Salesville; two half brothers, Dale Inskeep of Mt. Home and Bruce Lakey of Indiana; two half sisters, Shirley Vines of Salesville, and Phyllis Lackey of Indianapolis; her stepfather, Delbert 'Skip' Inskeep of Salesville; 15 grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father; her husband, Ernest E. Prnell; her grandson, Darren Curry; and one brother, T.J. Lackey.

Ernest Edward Parnell, 61, a lifetime resident of Norfork, died June 29 at Baxter General Hospital. He was a retired maintenance worker at the Norfork National Fish Hatchery, and a member of the Norfork Masonic Lodge No. 164 of Norfork Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Born Oct 8, 1918 at Norfork he was the son of the late Lucy Dickerson Parnell and Earl Abraham Parnell. He and the former Wanda B. Lackey were married Oct 26, 1940 at Norfork.
Survivors include his wife of Norfork; three sons, Delman Parnell of Norfork, Ronnie Parnell of Mt. Home and Randy Parnell of Norfork; three daughters, Shirlene Redmon of Plattsburg, MO, Carole Rorie of Mt. Home and Linda Dillard of Pineville; five brothers, Ralph and Carl Parnell of Norfork, Gene and Lynn Parnell of Effingham, KS and Tom Parnell of Calico Rock; three sister, Lena Chapman of Lone Rock, and Virgie Cox and Hazel Cox of Mt. Home; and 11 grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday at the Old Galatia Methodist Church with Rev. Charles Stanford officiating. Masonic graveside services were held at the Galatia Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ross Alexander, Devon Blanchard, Clyde Southard, Dan Sorenson, Bud Swartz and Dwight Inskeep.
Honorary pallbearers included Leo Pitchford, Junior Finley, Clay Sloan, Howard Wood, Gene Alexander, Thurlo Sisk, Skip Inskeep, T.R. chastain, William Lindsey and Lefty Harvey.
Arrangements were handled by Roller Funeral Home.
