Funeral services for Joseph Elmer Parnell, 60, a railroad employee of Norfork who died Monday in the Massouri Pacific Hospital at St. Louis, MO, will be held at Galatia tomorrow at 2PM with Rev. O.I. Ford officiating.
Mr. Parnell died following a two weeks illness. He entered the St. Louis hospital Saturday and underwent surgery.
Born Oct 10, 1895, he was a lifetime resident of Baxter County and was the son of the late Eddie and Lizzie Childers Parnell. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Among the survivors are a brother, Henry Parnell of Mammoth Spring, a sister, Mrs. Annie Schafer of WA and 16 nieces and nephews.
Interment will be in the Galatia Cemetery under the direction to the Roller Funeral Home.
