Mildred L. Carter, age 87, of Conway passed away Wednesday, May 29, 2013. She was born January 8, 1926 to Elvis and Laura (Kent) Woods in Hornesville, MO. She was a loving mother, wife and homemaker. She was a member of the Church of God where she served as a Sunday School Teacher. The family would like to express their deep appreciation to the staff of Salem Place Nursing & Rehab for their exceptional care given to Mildred.
Survivors include her daughter, Lovenual Deanna (Edward) Southall of Conway; 5 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a sister in law; a brother in law; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Opal F. Carter; 2 brothers and 6 sisters.
Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home (801 8th Ave.) in Conway with Bro. Larry White officiating. Interment will follow at New Liberty Cemetery with Edward Southall, Eddie Southall, Jim Southall, Ron Southall, Wayne Tucker and Kirk Hicks serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM until time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
