Dorothy Darline Davis was born February 27, 1934 in Heber Springs. AR. After a brave battle with Alzheimer’s passed away on May 14, 2016.
Preceding her in death were her parents, James Marion and Lillie Vera (Stonewalter) Yates, and her husband, William ‘Bill’ Lovard Davis, Jr.
Darline spent her childhood in Heber Springs. Bill and Darline began their life together in high school. After graduation, she attended Draughon School of Business in Little Rock and supported Bill in his pursuit of an agricultural degree at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville. They began a life of travel representing the United States in Embassies worldwide. Darline was an unwavering supporter of her husband’s work in Turkey, Kenya, China, Japan, and Mexico. She was active overseas with the American Red Cross and Foreign Service Women’s League. During a home leave tour she pursued and achieved a degree in Interior Design at the International Institute of Interior Design in Washington DC.
Darline attended the North Little Rock First United Methodist Church. She spent many enjoyable hours at home painting and gardening.
Devoted to her husband and girls, Darline was the sun in our world.
