Betty Lou Evans, 81, of Bearden, went to be with the Lord on December 23, 2018 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on February 5, 1937 in Cotton Valley, LA to Fred and Neva Cole.
Betty was a member of Eagle Mills Baptist Church. Betty retired from General Dynamics, and she was also a talented seamstress and artist. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother--- the heart of her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband of 61 years, Tommy Laverne Evans; and daughter, Kathy Rogers.
She is survived by two daughters, Teresa (Bennett) Hopkins of Bearden, Toni (David) Santifer of Hope; one son, Mark Evans of Bearden; one brother, Danny Williamson of FL; twelve grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
A special thanks to the staff of Kindred Hospice Home Care. Visitation will be Wednesday 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Thursday at Eagle Mills Baptist Church with Rev. Jody Tillery, Rev. Chris Morgan and Brother David King officiating. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery.
