Mildred E. Smith, age 92, of London, died Thursday, April 27, 2006, at her home. A daughter of the late Fred C. and Emma Priebe Baurichter, she was born May 25, 1913, at Augsburg.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J. Earl Smith; one son, J. E. Smith Jr.; and one brother, Otto Baurichter.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Don and Ella Sue Smith of London; two daughters and sons-in-law, Shirlene and Gaines White of Russellville and Linda and Dick Willis of Phoenix, Arizona; a sister, Kathrina White of Russellville; one brother-in-law, Wayne Nordin of Russellville; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Hogrefe of Russellville and Ruby Amonett of Lubbock, Texas; eight grandsons and their spouses, Craig and Christine Smith, Ken and Leslie Smith, Jeff and Holly Smith, and Jesse Smith III all of Florida, Russell and Nikki White of Alma, Keith Smith of Bentonville, Brian Smith of Little Rock, and Gregory Willis of San Diego, California; four granddaughters and their spouses, Kathy and Bob Hardgrave of Little Rock, Sandra and Johnny Vitols of London, Carol and Bo Parker of London, and Ginger and Chad VanTilborg of Cottonwood, Arizona; 20 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; a special great great niece, Brandi White; and several nieces and nephews.
Active pallbearers were David Metz, Terry White, Lee Roy White, Dennis Lowe, Larry Pless, and Al Polsgrove. Honorary pallbearers will be Willard “Dub” Smith, Frank Meimerstorf, Wayne Nordin, Vernon Whorton, and Burl Williams.
