1st Sergeant Floyd Arvol Davis, aged 65, died Wednesday, December 3, 1986 at his home near Hardy. He was born February 29, 1921 in Hardy, the son of the late Emeriar and Mary Jane (Rogers) Davis. He was a retired disabled Army Veteran who served in World War II and the
Korean War and Vietnam Conflicts. Floyd was a lifetime member of the Re-Organized Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, a member of the Optimist Club, Sharp County Ministerial Alliance and the Sharp County Fair Association.
He is survived by his wife, Betty L. Davis of the home; one daughter, Dana L. Hunt of Little Rock; one grandaughter, Kelly E. Hunt of Arkansas College, Batesville; two sisters, Mrs. Burl (Nancy)
Crabtree of Rockford, Illinois and Mrs. Samuel B. (Emma Nell) Winer of Chicago, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. Funeral services were held at 10 AM Saturday, December 6, at the Higginbotham Chapel in Hardy with Dr. Boyce Rogers officiating. Burial was in Walker Cemetery under the direction of Higginbotham Funeral Service. Pallbearers were Roger Stark, Terry Stark, Mike Zeiger, Greg Crowell, Terry Crowell and Gary Wright
