Mrs. Elnora Thomas, 72, of Huttig died Wednesday in a local hospital after a lengthy illness. She was a member of Batts Chapel Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, L. G. Thomas, of Huttig; three daughters, Mrs. Fannie Burch and Mrs. Nettie Davis, both of Marion, La., and Mrs. Savanah Daniels of Huttig; seven sons, Willie Ethridge, R. Lee Ethridge and Tommy G. Thomas, all of Chicago, Ill., Otis Thomas, J. P. Thomas, Robert Thomas and Odell Thomas, all of Huttig; two sisters, Mrs. Effie Maine and Mrs. Lorene Williams; and two brothers, Robert Walker and John Peany, all of Farmerville, La.; 41 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Batts Chapel Baptist Church with the Rev. G. F. Anson officiating. Burial will follow in Batts Chapel Cemetery.
