Earl Thomas "Sam" Johnson, 87 of Greenwood,AR passed away Sunday, November 7, 2010 in Greenwood.
He was born on February 6, 1923 in Witcherville, AR.
He was a retired machinist with Sealright Company, an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II and a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Marie Johnson.
Graveside Service was 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home of Fort Smith.
He is survived by a daughter, Sharon Armstrong and her husband Jon of San Angelo, TX; two sisters, Ruth Francis of Greenwood and Nellie Hamilton of Hackett; three grandchildren, Karrie Fletcher and her husband Gene, Matt Armstrong, Kristin Chavez and her husband Santos, all of San Angelo, TX and one great grandson, Cayde Fletcher. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Ethel Marie Johnson, 79, of Fort Smith died Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, in Fort Smith. She was a retired bookkeeper and she was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband, Earl Johnson of the home; one daughter, Sharon and husband Jon Armstrong of San Angelo, Texas; one sister, Jean Johnson of Fort Smith; three grandchildren, Matthew Armstrong of San Angelo, Texas, Kari and husband, Gene Fletcher of Savannah, Ga., Kristin and husband Santos Chavez of San Angelo, Texas; and one great-grandchild; along with several nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be Friday, Sept. 7, 2007, at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
