Nancy Ruth Walthall Hampton age 78 of El Dorado, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at Hudson Memorial Nursing Home. Nancy was born on December 28, 1937 in Waldo, AR to the late Annie Louise Russell Walthall and Dalton E. Walthall. Nancy was a faithful member of Wyatt Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school for fourty plus years. Nancy enjoyed vegetable gardening and tending her flowers. She formerly enjoyed fishing and deer hunting with her husband. She also enjoyed feeding and watching her hummingbirds. She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister and Friend, whom will be greatly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Jack L. Hampton, Sr.
Survivors include; two sons, Jackie Hampton and wife Helen Kay and Kenny Hampton all of El Dorado; three daughters, Melinda Bridges and husband Curtis of Parkers Chapel, Melissa Whorton and husband Ted of El Dorado and Mitzi Brock and husband Edward of Smackover; eleven grandchildren, Beau Hampton, Amanda Hawkins, Christopher Bridges, Meagan Pearson, Daniel Bridges, Nicole Barrette, Cassidy Sullivan, Taylor Donnley, Shelli Hampton, James Hampton and Weston Fitzgerald; fifteen great grandchildren; one brother, Russell Walthall and wife Bonnie of El Dorado; sister in law, Maudine Russell of El Dorado also, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Bailey Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Wyatt Baptist Church with Bro. Donny Hymer officiating. Burial will follow at Wyatt-Parnell Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home.
