Laurell Laverne Carter, 93, of Fort Smith, Arkansas died March 5, 2008 in Fort Smith. He was a retired mechanic for the City of Los Angeles water and power, and a WWII U.S. Navy veteran. He was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine Carter.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 7, 2008. Burial at Roselawn Cemetery

He is survived by his daughter Patricia Gann of Greenwood, Arkansas; two sons: Jerry L. Carter of Muldrow, Oklahoma and Francis W. Carter of Winsterset, Iowa; one sister: Annis J. Jones of Winterset, Iowa; twenty grandchildren, fifty-two great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Geraldine Grace CARTER, 79, of Fort Smith, Ark., were held at 10 a.m. Friday at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel in Fort Smith. Burial was in Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith, under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.

Mrs. CARTER died Monday, Feb. 1, 1999, at her home.

Survivors include her husband, Laurell of the home; two daughters, Sharon and Patricia; two sons, Jerry and Francis; five sisters, Wanda, Elsie, Katherine, Florence and Hazel; one brother, Charles; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. CARTER was preceded in death by one daughter, Shirley BALLINGER, and one son, Larry CARTER.
