Eleanor "Faye" Rogers, 68 of Junction City passed away from this life into her new life with her Lord and Savior, Monday, June 8, 2015, at Claiborne Memorial Medical in Homer, LA.
Faye was born January 14, 1947, in Minden LA to the union of Irby Hightower and Eleanor Moreland Hightower McVicker.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a step-father; Dolph McVicker.
Faye loved people, and she loved to share her faith. She was kind to every person she met and was "Nanny" to many. She loved her church and community. She had a passion for Dragon Football and attended every game for as long as she could. She loved her family and gave selflessly to make sure they are happy. Her grandchildren are her legacy and her greatest prayer was to pass on to them her love for Jesus and her love for people.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Preston Rogers, one daughter; Ellen Lowe and husband Robby, one son; John Rogers and wife Amy all of Junction City. two sisters; Chloe Ellen Watson and husband Ed of Homer, LA, and Anita Dougherty and husband Mike of Weatherford, TX, four grandchildren; Dustin Rogers, Courtney Lowe, Joe Lowe, and Julia Rogers, a step-sister; Kathy McVicker of Denver, CO.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2015, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Three Creeks Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2015 at the Three Creeks Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Morey, Rev. Buddy Boatright, Rev. Mark Margis and Rev. Brandon Gurley, officiating.
Interment will be in the Roselawn Cemetery in Junction City, AR under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Junction City, AR
Any planned memorials may be made to Three Creeks Baptist Church..
