Omer G. Renfro, 92, of Camden, passed away Saturday, September 25, 2010 at her home in Camden. Mrs. Renfro was born January 1918 at Hampton, AR, the daughter of Gordon and Katherine Garrett Holmes. She was a homemaker and a member of Bethesda Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Orlen Renfro; a grandson, Joseph Renfro; great grandson, Brandon Coleman; brothers, Arlis Holmes and J. C. Holmes; sisters, Helen Counts, Vivian Gorman, Annie Hand, Versie Pierce, Lethie Griffin, and Molly Holmes.
Survivors include her sons, Guy Renfro and wife, Billie of Warsaw, MO, and Kenneth Renfro and wife, Ruth of Cypress, TX; daughters, Patricia Rogers and husband, John of Greenwood, AR, Mary Bass and husband, Alvin of Camden, and Carolyn Daggett and husband, Jim of Camden; brothers, Hollis Holmes and Gordon Holmes, Jr. both of Malvern; sisters, Hazel Lucas of Hampton, and Audrey Patton of Yorba Linda, CA; nine grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services for Mrs. Renfro will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, September 27, 2010 at Proctor Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny York, Rev. Garrett Burns, and Rev. Nick Chambers officiating. Burial will be in Bethesda Cemetery. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the Heart Association, Cancer Association, or to Hospice.
