Jimmie Sue Lockridge Venable, 85, of Camden died Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at her home in Camden surrounded by her family after a brave seventeen year battle with Alzheimer's. She was a lifetime member of Bethesda Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, John B. Venable, parents, Larkin and Elsie Renfro Lockridge, brothers, Tommy, Jerry and Raymond Lockridge and sisters, Wanda McCurry and Patti Brents.
Mrs. Venable is survived by three daughters, Kathy Pennington and husband Ray and Tracy Reynolds and husband J. C. of Camden, and Janet Copeland and husband John of Malvern, AR, a brother, Ricky Lockridge and wife Erma of Benton, AR and two sisters, Dot Frizzell of Cabot, AR and Becky Marks of Camden. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, Kristi Dean and husband Alan of Camden, Cheryl Norman and husband Joe of Macon, GA, Jessica Duke and husband Owen of Woodstock, GA, T. J. Reynolds and Jonathan Reynolds of Camden, Carrie Russo and husband David of Shingletown, CA, Tami Copeland of Rohnert Park, CA and John W. Copeland of Long Beach, CA. Other survivors are nine great-grandchildren, Kyle Copeland, Aubrey Rains, Karson Dean, Logan Reynolds, Noah Blessing, Atticus Reynolds, Tucker Duke, Kelsey Watson and Allison Rhodes and two great-great-grandchildren, John A. Copeland and Caiden Rhodes.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 28 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethesda Cumberland Presbyterian Church with burial in Bethesda Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. at the church. The family extends a special thank you to caregivers and friends Teresa Green, Vickie Champ, El’Shawana Keene, Devona Campbell, Rachel Kinley, Alissa Kinley, Rita Benton, Dr. Lawrence Braden, and the Staff of OCMC Hospice.
