A celebration of the life of Martha Susan “Sue” Blackmon will be 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 1, 2016 at Hayhurst Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will take place at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 2, 2016 at Chapel Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Jacksonville, Arkansas. Friends may visit the funeral home on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. with family there to receive visitors from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sue passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at the age of 71.

Sue was born on August 9, 1945 in Camden, Arkansas to John and Alice (Dodson) Harrell. She graduated from Camden High School and continued her higher education in Hot Springs, Arkansas for three years.

Sue married Michael “Mike” Blackmon on October 20, 1987 in a Bossier City, Louisiana wedding ceremony. Sue was a wonderful wife and mother. She adored her family and loved taking care of them. When grandchildren came along, Sue cherished every moment she spent with them.

In her free time Sue enjoyed photography, wood and ceramic crafts and traveling. She was quite artistic and creative. Sue also enjoyed poetry and writing.

Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.

Grandchildren, Justyn, Jordy, Dustin, Destiny, Cody, Cash
Brother, John Harrell and wife Margie, Camden, AR

Sue was preceded in death by her parents and infant daughter, Terri.
