Robbie Maxine Moffitt, age 84 of Searcy died Wednesday, November 06, 2013 in Searcy. She was born April 15, 1929 in Joy, Arkansas to William Calvin and Cordelia Starkey Wortham. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church. She worked for many years as a seamstress and homemaker. She is survived by one son, Achel Moffitt, Jr. and wife Suzanne of Searcy, a daughter; Lisa Roberson and husband Dan of Searcy, two grandsons; Tim Moffitt of Searcy, Brandon Roberson of Stevensville, Montana, one great-grandson; Hayden Moffitt, two brothers; H.A. Wortham, Bobby Wortham, three sisters; Odette Nelson, Betty Jackson and Wanda Rose. She was preceded in death by husband Achel Henry Moffitt, her parents; William Calvin and Cordelia Starkey Wortham, brothers; O.B. Wortham, Darel Calvin Wortham, Sherman Wortham, Leon Wortham, Glenn Wortham and sister Lorene Chandler. Visitation will be at Powell Funeral Home, Friday November 8, 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. and services will be held at Powell Funeral Home Chapel Saturday, November 9, at 1:00 p.m, with internment at Mt. Hebron Cemetery in Joy. In lieu of flowers the family asks memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation. Arrangements by Powell Funeral Home of Searcy. www.powellfuneralhome.net
