Daniel David Spades
September 3, 1946 - June 11, 2022

Daniel “Dan” David Spades, 75 of Smithville, died June 11, 2022, at his residence.

Born September 3, 1946, in Walnut Ridge, son of the late, Sebastian A. Spades Jr. and Alta Lorene Nunnally Spades. He was an Army Veteran serving in Vietnam, owner and operator of Dan Spades Refrigeration. He enjoyed tinkering with things and working on machines. He collected Camera’s, old antique Iron’s, and any and all types of Eagles. He was active in his community and a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Lynn.

He is preceded by his parents; two sons, Charles Nunnally and Randy Spades; and two brothers, Richard, and Joe Spades.

Survivors include his daughter, Danielle “Dee Dee” Sanders of Paragould; three grandchildren, Haley Sanders, Will, and Savanah Spades; one sister, Barbara Spades Kelly of Paragould; one brother, John Spades of Florida; and many other relatives and friends.

Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 2 P.M. in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Lynn. Private interment of his cremains will take place at a later date in the Old Lebanon Cemetery.

Joseph Patrick "Joe" Spades
1949 - 2018

Joseph Patrick “Joe” Spades, 68 year old resident of Doniphan, MO departed this life March 14, 2018 in Jonesboro, AR. Joe was born August 27, 1949 in Walnut Ridge, AR to the late Sebastian and Alta Nunnally Spades. He was an engineer for Alltel, enjoyed fishing and the Razorbacks, and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by 1 brother Richard “Dick” Spades.

On November 11, 1989, in Walnut Ridge, AR he was married to Sharon Tolson, who survives. Also surviving are daughters Sarah McMaster and her husband Bob of Germantown, TN; Marie Nesladek and her husband Rich of Centerton, AR; Step-daughter Christy Benson and her husband Jody of Cherokee Village, AR; Step-son Jeff Penn of Cherokee Village, AR; 1 sister, Barbara Kelly of Paragould, AR; 2 brothers Dan Spades of Lynn, AR; John Spades of Jensen Beach, FL; and 5 grandchildren Chastity Davis, Joseph Blackshear, Brody Boyd, Jake McMaster, and Sam McMaster; Sister-in-law Shirley Spades of Rockford, IL; Many nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Joe Spades will be held Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 10 AM in the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. The services will follow at 11 AM with Mack Downey officiating.
