ELM SPRINGS — Kenneth P. Roberts, age 83, of Elm Springs, died at his home on March 3, 2012. He was born Sept. 21, 1928, in Amarillo, Texas, the son of Grover and Alice Johnson Roberts.

He had retired from Wilson Foods and was also a retired poultry and cattle farmer. He was a member of Faith Regular Baptist Church in Elm Springs. He loved working with cattle, feeding the birds and working in his garden.

He was preceded in death by one son, Eugene Roberts in 1997. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mertie Eldridge Roberts. Five Children; Lonnie Roberts of Dardanelle, Ark., Connie Bariola and husband Buddy of Bella Vista, Jimmie Roberts and wife Irene of Siloam Springs, Ark., Brenda Hook of Canton, Okla., and Doug Roberts and wife Penny of Gentry. Eleven grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at Faith Regular Baptist Church in Elm Springs with the Rev. Gary Jewell officiating under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Springdale. Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be grandchildren and honorary pallbearers will be great-grandchildren.
