Vernell Floy Satterfield, age 91, of Conway died Saturday, April 14th, 2007. She was born August 21st, 1915 in Mount Vernon to the late Hardy and Roxie Watson Carmichael. She was preceded in death by husband Homer Satterfield, of 28 years, three children: J.W. "Dub", C.R. "Buddy", and Dwight "Wimp" Satterfield and by three sisters and one brother.

Vernell was a member of the Second Baptist Church of Conway and had many interest. She loved to sew and crochet, to tend her garden and admire her flowers. You would never be surprised to hear that Vernell had jumped in the car and drove for hours to go to a gospel concert to experience the music she loved. She attended the National Satterfield Family Reunion each year and would drive to California if that were where it was held. Vernell served as host of that Reunion when it was held in Eureka Springs.

She is survived by four children: Bernice Fulmer of Vilonia, George Satterfield (wife Shirley) of North Little Rock, Minnie Fulmer of Vilonia and Teresa Mathews (husband James) of Scott; by fifteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside funeral services are Tuesday, 3:00 p.m., April 17th at Vilonia Cemetery officiated by Bro. Larry Tease. Visitation is form 6-8 p.m. Monday at Roller McNutt of Conway (501.327.7727).
