Jesse (Jay) Gene Speck, 82, of Conway, passed from this life on Thursday, January 23, 2014. He was born on April 28, 1931, in Rock Island, Texas, and was a son to Jesse Andrew and Ida Mae Adams Speck.
He will be remembered as a man of integrity with a gentle spirit and quiet sense of humor. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, building houses and particularly enjoyed family times with his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and extended family. He was a member of Rock Solid Church.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Kenneth (Anna) , daughters Beverly Graham (Ron) and Sandra Bramlett, all of Conway, sister, Melba DeFoor and brother, Harvey Speck both of Rock Island, Texas, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Laverne Speck, his parents, a grand daughter, Heather Graham, one brother, John Speck, and three sisters, Gladys Owers, Retha Spindler, and Nelda Baker.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, January 26, 2014, in the chapel of Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway with the Rev Terry Davis officiating. Entombment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, with Tommy Brown, Kerry James, Geoff Dunleavey, Heath Graham, Ben Cook and, Raymond Evatt serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, on Saturday, January 25, 2013, at the funeral home.
Honorary pallbearers are Mark Mullenax, Dave Harding, George Melvin, JL Reed, Bobby Garrett and Rev William Hughart.

Joyce Laverne Speck, 77, of Conway, passed from this life on Tuesday, October 8, 2013. Joyce was born on November 29, 1935, in Providence, Texas, and was a daughter to Sandy O. and Henrietta (Willeford) Gandy. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to all. She was a member of Rock Solid Church.
Those left to cherish her memory are: her husband, of 62 years, Jesse G. Speck; son, Kenneth Speck (Anna); daughters: Sandra Bramlett and Beverly Graham (Ron) all of Conway; sisters: Marie Burris and Nell Rindy; one brother Sonny Gandy; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; a granddaughter, Heather Graham; a brother Cecil Gandy and a half-brother Jack Gandy.
The funeral service will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 11, in the chapel of Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, with Rev. Terry Davis and Rev. Jim King officiating. Entombment will follow at Crestlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum, with Tommy Brown, Kerry James, Geoff Dunleavey, Heath Graham, Dave Harding and George Melvin, serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are, Rev. William Hughart, J.L. Reed, Mark Mullenax, and Bobby Garrett. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, on Thursday, October 10, at the funeral home.
