Mrs. Mae Holland, wife of Homer Holland of the Healing Springs community, died at the family home Sunday morning early after an illness that covered several years' duration. She was 41 years, two months and eleven days old at the time of her death. Funeral services were held at the Thornbury church Monday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by Neal Saurey of near Bentonville, with interment in the Thornbury cemetery under the direction of Carpenter Bros. of Gentry. Mae Robinson, daughter of J.W. and Sylvestia Robinson, was born Nov. 1, 1889; was married August 8, 1907 to Homer Holland. To this union were born seven children - Herschel, Charles, Hubert, Imogene, Allowene, Louis and Evelyn - all of whom, together with the husband, survive her. Besides the husband and children three brothers and two sisters are left to mourn her loss: J.M. Litteral, Siloam Springs; M. Litteral and M.J. Robinson, Elm Springs; Mrs. J.M. McCutcheon and Mrs. Mittie Leach, Siloam Springs. The large concourse of sorrowing ones who gathered at the church to pay the last respects to a departed one gave evidence of the high esteem in which the deceased was held by all who knew her. Mrs. Holland professed faith in Christ at an early age, joining the M.E. Church, South to which she was a faithful member to the end. The bereaved family has the heartfelt sympathy of all in their sad hour.
