Junia Zell Patterson Groff, 93, of Waldenburg, Ark., died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 1994 at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro, Ark. She was born June 1, 1900 in Ulman to William Bead and Camilla Nixdorf Patterson. Her husband, John Groff, died Dec. 5, 1993.
Survivors include a daughter, Nellie Groff of Waldenburg, Ark.; a sister, Gertrude Brumley of Elk Grove, Calif; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Eight brothers and sisters preceded her in death. They were Will, Joe, Fred, James Willard "J.W.", Perry, Reginald "Rig", Carrie Myers and Belle Dawson.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Langsford Funeral Home in Jonesboro with burial in Waldenburg Cemetery. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Patterson of Ulman attended the funeral services and visited with Nellie Groff on Saturday.
