SPRINGDALE — Glenda Sue Artman, 66, of Springdale died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at Northwest Medical Center. She was born May 25, 1946, in Fayetteville to Albert and Bonnie Ingraham Zachary.

Glenda graduated from Springdale High School in 1964. She worked for Harps Grocery Store from 1977 to 2000, and enjoyed flower gardening, traveling, bowling and tech gadgets. She was a 14-year "Miracle" pancreatic cancer survivor. Glenda was devoted to the care of her family and a member of the Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband, Weldon "Gene" Artman, whom she married March 13, 1965, in Joplin, Mo.; three children, Shellie Walker and husband, Kent, of Fayetteville, Tracy Smith of Rogers, Stacy Artman and wife, Dominique, of Pea Ridge; two sisters, Wanda Bone and husband, Steve, of Springdale, Kathy Law of Tulsa, Okla.; one brother, Wayne Zachary and wife, Lorretta, of Lawrence, Kan.; five grandchildren, Gena Grubbs and husband, Michael, Tanaia Smith, Lucas Walker, Garrison Artman, Layton Walker; and expecting her first great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at Pleasant Street Church of Christ in Springdale, with Brother Scott Gage officiating. Interment will be at Burkshed Cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Springdale; online guest book at heritageofnwa.com.
