Julia I. Wharton Dickson, 89, of Conway, passed away Friday (Aug. 8, 2003) at Salem Place Nursing Center.

Born Sept. 9, 1913, in Vilonia, she was the last surviving of nine children born to Robert and Etta Sellers, who preceded her in death. She was a charter member of the 18th Street Freewill Baptist Church in North Little Rock.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ben F. Dickson.

Survivors include her daughter, Frieda Price and her husband, Dariel, of Conway; her son, Don Wharton and his wife, Peggy, of Conway; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and her loving caregivers, Edith Reed and Ida Harrison.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Monday, Aug. 11, 2003, in the Chapel at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway with Pastor Ray Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Cypress Valley Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ervin Mize, Homer Osborne, Karry Kelley, Greg Kelley, Robert Martin, Craig Sellers, Mike Osborne, and Ricky Price.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003, at the funeral home.
