Annie B. Medley was the daughter of James Larson Medley and Mary J. Gooch Medley, was born 1876 in Grimes County, Texas where her parents, James Larson Medley and Mary Jemima Gooch Medley were visiting a brother of her father, Melchizedic Medley. She was raised near Hematite, Jefferson County, Missouri. Her mother died in 1896 of tuberculosis and was buried in Jefferson County, Missouri. In 1898 she and her father and siblings settled in Hickory Plains, Prairie County, Arkansas.
Annie died 10 days after she, her father, two brothers and one sister moved to Hickory Plains from Jefferson County, Missouri. She was 22 years
of age and is buried next to her brother, Howard J. Medley, who died later on March 4, 1900.
