Ressa Rachel 'Tess' Bibler, age 94, a resident of Russellville, died Wednesday, May 22, 2002 at her daughters home. She was born on January 7, 1908 in Broomfield, AR, to James Robert and Belle (Ross) Jones. She and Odus Bibler were married on September 7 of 1927 at Broomfield. She worked with him for many years as the bookkeeper for their family-owned business, Bibler Brothers Lumber Company, beginning in Scottsville and then moving their family to Russellville in May of 1953. Mr. Bibler died in 1980 and she was also preceded in death by a son, David Robert Bibler, a daughter in law, Martha Bibler and a grandson, Blake and a granddaughter, Dawn Bibler, and her 11 brothers and sisters, Charlie, Arch, Willard, Fred, Earl, Max, Lillie, Gertie, Nola and Claire and an infant brother. She was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son and daughter in law, James and Laurie Bibler of Russellville; a daughter in law, Janie Bibler of Russellville; a daughter and son in law, Imodell and J.B. George of Russellville; three grandchildren and their spouses, Rickey and Terri George of Russellville, David Michael and Bing Bibler of Scottsville, Brian George and Suzanne of Mulberry; 4 great grandchildren, Rachel Neville of Russellville, John Tolar of Poplar Grove, Nigel Bibler of Scottsville, Teri and Terry Tolar of Popar Grove; 6 great great grandchildren, Brooklyn Sauls, Dylan, Ressa, and Reagan Tull, Breeana and Jessica George; a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was 3:00 pm Saturday, May 25, 2002, at the First Free Will Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Doug Little. Burial was in Rest Haven Memorial Park at Russellville under the direction of Humphrey Funeral Service.
