Mrs. Ethel Boyce, 78, of 917 E. Hillsboro St., died Monday morning in a local hospital following a long illness. Mrs. Boyce was born March 6, 1893, in Caledonia and was the daughter of John and Nannie Harrell Brazzel. She has been a resident of El Dorado since 1922 and was a member of the Second Baptist Church. Survivors include three brothers, Lonnie Brazzel, George Brazzel, both of El Dorado, and Sam Brazell of Lawson; and two sisters, Mrs. Susie Varnell of El Dorado and Mrs. Dena Thompson of Camden. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the chapel of Rumph Mortuary with the Rev. Bruce Murphy officiating. Burial will be in Caledonia Cemetery under direction of Rumph Mortuary. The family will be at the home of George Brazzel, 1204 W. Fifth St. Pallbearers will be Danny Hill, Gary Hill, Ronnie McKnight, Edsel McKnight, Charlie Thompson and Eldridge Brazzel.
