Velma C. English, of Joshua, Texas, passed away on Friday, October 15th, 2010. Born on Friday, March 4th, 1927, in Joy, Arkansas, daughter of the late Thomas and Telie Patterson, she married the late Robert Monroe English of Sidon, Arkansas on May 24, 1946. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert English; three sisters and two brothers.
Mrs. English is survived by her brother James H. Patterson of Georgetown, Arkansas; brother, Kenny Patterson of Rockford, Illinois; son, Bob English of Fort Worth, Texas; son, Ricky English of Joshua, Texas; son Gerold English of Mansfield, Texas; daughter Cheryl Smith of Phoenix, Arizona; 14 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00PM Monday, October 18th, 2010 at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home, 411 East Race Avenue, Searcy, Arkansas. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, October 19th in the Chapel of Roller-Daniel Funeral Home with interment following at Sidon Cemetery. Granny will be missed by everyone.
