Doylene DuPriest Bintliff left this life on the 23th of January, 2007. Doylene was born February 13, 1930 to Ruth and Doyle DuPriest of Levy (North Little Rock) Arkansas.
On July 4, 1946 at age 16 she married Sidney Eugene James, Jr. (Junior) In May 1947 they had a son, Stephen Eugene James. Three weeks later she was widowed when Junior was killed in an accident at Camp Robinson.
August 27, 1948 she married Dale Bintliff from Bee Branch. They had two sons Larry Dale and David Allen Bintliff Dale was the love of her life. They were married nearly forty years before Dale was killed in a tractor accident March 23, 1988.
The following year she married Wally Shillcutt of North Little Rock. Mr. Shillcutt died of cancer December 2003.
Doylene was preceded in death by her parents, her three husbands, her brother Tommy DuPriest, and her grandson, Justin Story of Bee Branch.
She is survived by her three sons and their wives; eight grandchildren, and five great-grand children. All of whom she loved dearly.
After, raising three sons and working as a secretary in Little Rock she decided to go to college. She attended Arkansas State Teachers College beginning September 1965. She got a Bachelors of Education in 1968 and a Masters of Science in Education in August of 1971.· She was an elementary teacher at Sherwood Elementary (1968-1972) and the elementary school principal at South Side School in Bee Branch, from 1973 until she retired in 1992. She loved teaching others not only in the classroom but by example. Her students learned far more from her than facts and figures, they learned what a real lady was like. Doylene was a member of the Iris Garden Club, Clinton Extension Homemakers Club, Esther United Methodist Women Circle, Eastern Star, and various professional organizations. She enjoyed traveling, spending time with her grandchildren, singing, dancing and playing the piano.
Those who knew Doylene will undoubtedly remember her with a smile and recall her signature fragrance.
Doylene was gone from us much of the time for the past four and one-half years due to Alzheimer's, but she will never be forgotten for the fabulous person she was to so many.
