Gilda Phyllis Herring, 86, of Cabot passed away Thursday, February 21, 2013. She was born in Wynne, AR to the late Harry Goodwin and Girlie Risner Goodwin Mitchell. Gilda was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Truman Mitchell.
Gilda was a Seamstress specialized in making beautiful drapes. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband Alis Doyne Herring, three daughters, Phyllis Richmond (Michael), Donna Stowell (Jonathan) and Lynda Perez (David); seven grandchildren, Sara and David Richmond, Nathan and Josh Stowell, Daniel and Matthew Arnold and Lori McFarlane; one sister Betty Sue King and her brother, Tommy Mitchell; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other family.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, February 23, 2013 at Roller-Owens Funeral Home Chapel, 5509 John F. Kennedy Blvd., North Little Rock, AR 72116 (501-791-7400). Interment will follow at 3 p.m., Bee Branch Cemetery.
