Lake Village, Arkansas

Jessie Marie Mills Gonzalez, age 86, of Lake Village, died Sunday, September 23, 2012 at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville, Mississippi. She was
born July 9, 1926 in Gregory, Texas, the daughter of the late Lupe Lopez and Nemesia Villegas and was a retired garment factory worker and a member of Jennie Baptist Church in Lake Village. Of all the people we have known in our lives Jessie most closely, clearly and consistently resembled Jesus to us.
She had strong immovable faith in God and was a personal friend to Jesus Christ. If you needed someone to pray for you, we would always say call
Jessie. She saw the beauty in everything and was thankful for all that she had
been given. From a worldly view point she would not be described as successful, but if you asked her family and friends they would tell you of her great success and the eternal rewards that she now has in Heaven. One of the many bible verses that described how she lived was "For with God nothing will be impossible." Luke 1:37
She is survived by, 2 sons, Thomas Mills and wife Martha of Lake Village, Tony Mills and wife
Shirley of Jennie; a daughter, Dorothy Overman and husband Mike of Jennie; 3 sister, Lucy Negrete,
Mary Olmas, Delores Garcia all of Houston, Texas; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 greatgreat-grandson and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Tony Lopez.
Visitation will be 5-7PM Tuesday, September 25, 2012 at Bishop Funeral Home. Funeral services
will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at Jennie Baptist Church with Bro. Dennis Green
officiating. Burial will follow in the Jennie Cemetery, under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village.
