Bessie - December 3, 1877 - April 5, 1967
Mrs. Bessie Strother Mauldin, age 89, of Bearden died Wednesday in the Ouachita Hospital. Survivors are three sons; Thomas Mauldin of Missouri, James E. Mauldin and Wilson W. Mauldin, both of Bloomfield, New Mexico; two daughters, Mrs. Swannie Johnson of Bearden, and Mrs. Martha Newton of Camden; a stepsister, Mrs. Tan Fletcher of Fordyce; 32 grandchildren, a number of great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday in the New Hope Church near Hampton with burial in New Hope Cemetery. Benton Funeral services is in charge of the arrangements.
