Dorothy Sue McCann, 69, of Thornton died Friday, March 6, 2009 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. She was born January 1, 1940 in Hope, Arkansas. She was a homemaker and a member of Bearden Missionary Baptist Church in Bearden. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon Skinner and Obera Horton Skinner. She is survived by her husband, Winnon McCann of Thornton; two sons, David McCann and wife Sue of Bearden, J.D. McCann and wife Kathy of Bearden; two daughters, Becky Tipton and husband Greg of Dubach, LA, and Mary West of Thornton; two brothers, Tillman Skinner of Knoxville, TN, Dennis Skinner of East Camden; six grandchildren, Michelle, Jason, Christy, Mathew, Katy, Johnathan and two very special great-granddaughters, Jessica and Dani. Visitation will be Sunday 6pm until 8pm at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Monday at Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce with Rev. David Inzer and Rev. David Landers officiating. Burial at New Hope Cemetery near Hampton. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce.
