Mrs. Gertrude Featherston Rakes, 74, Bentonville, died Nov. 22 in Bates Memorial Hospital, Bentonville. Born Dec. 3, 1899, near Centerton, she was a lifetime resident of the area and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bentonville.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Earl Wise, Springdale, and Mrs. Louis Law, Houston, Tex.; three brothers, J.B. Featherston and Estle Featherston, Bentonville, and Edwain Featherston, Gravette; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in Callison-McKinney Chapel, Bentonville, with the Rev. Sam Teague officiating. Burial will be in Bentonville Cemetery under the direction of Callison-McKinney.
