Mae Lanell McCutcheon, age 90, of Heber Springs passed away August 4 at Southridge Nursing and Rehab in Heber Springs. Born January 11, 1922 at Dug Hill, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Sarah Elizabeth Shook Davis and Benjamin Franklin Davis. She was of the Baptist faith.
She was active in her lifetime and enjoyed cooking, sewing, quilting and upholstery work as hobbies.
Mrs. McCutcheon was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn McCutcheon whom she married May 22, 1939; a son, A.W. McCutcheon, Jr; three brothers; three sisters and three grandchildren.
Survivors include one daughter, Juanita Calander and husband Danny of Tumbling Shoals, AR; three sisters, Evelyn Stubbs of Wolf Bayou, AR, Treseal Phillips of New Carlisle, IN and Lavata Smith of Lepanto, AR; two grandchildren, Mike Greene and wife Leslie of Heber Springs, AR and Brenda Rorie and husband Kevin of Quitman, AR; three great grandchildren, Jimmy Greene of Nashville, TN, Chistopher Childers of Texas and Cheyenne McCutcheon of Oregon and many friends.
Visitation hours will be 1:00 to 2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Heber Springs Funeral Home and the funeral service will be at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, August 7, 2012 immediately after visitation with Brother Bob Bittle officiating. Interment will follow at Chastain Cemetery in Tumbling Shoals, Arkansas.
