John Coleman Laningham Sr., 74, of Springdale died Oct. 11, 1994, at the Springdale Memorial Hospital. He was born Nov. 26, 1919, at Wesley, the son of Virgil David and Annie Eubanks Laningham. He was a member of the Church of Christ, a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2952 of Springdale, a former member of the Auxiliary Police of Arkansas Civil Defense, and was a retired service station attendant.
Survivors include his widow, Goldie G. Thomas Laningham of the home, to whom he was married Nov. 18, 1948; two sons, John C. Laningham Jr. of Springdale and Jimmy Lee Laningham of the home; one brother, Bill Laningham of Fayetteville.
Services will be held Thursday, Oct. 13, at 10 a.m. at the Sisco Funeral Chapel with burial in the Friendship Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale.

Goldie Thomas Laningham, 74, of Springdale died Jan. 28, 2006, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. She was born Sept. 22, 1931, in Kingston to Hubert and Ema Grigg Thomas. She was a member of Holcomb Street Church of Christ in Springdale and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Laningham; two sons, Jimmy Lee Laningham and John C. Laningham Jr.
Survivors include two sisters, Edna Taylor of Fayetteville and Mary Ruth Harmon of Huntsville.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Sisco Chapel in Springdale with Pat Manning officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be William Thomas, Butch Harmon, Darryl Thomas, Charles Harmon, Bart Taylor and Danny Harmon.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family will be present from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
