Elizabeth J. Chrislaw Martin, age 86, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2010 in the Cuba Manor in Cuba, Missouri. Born on April 6, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Vera Patton Chrislaw.
Mrs. Martin was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jack Chrislaw and her husband James Norman “Jim” Martin.
She and her husband Jim worked/owned the Club Sunset in Lodi for several years. After selling the nightclub business Betty worked for the American Red Cross for 20 years. She and Jim retired to Fairfield Bay, Arkansas and lived there until the death of Jim in 1990. Betty was a member of the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and the Women’s Auxillary VFW in Fairfield Bay, Arkansas. She then moved to Missouri area and was living in Cuba Manor in Cuba, Missouri until her death.
Mrs. Martin is survived by three sons Michael James Martin and his wife Laura of La Cross, Wisconsin, Ralph Martin and his wife Barbara of Sullivan, Missouri and Patrick J. Martin and his wife Donna of Anchorage, Alaska, four daughters Mary Jo Quilling and her husband Jerry of Kiel, Wisconsin, Maureen K. Otto and her husband Thomas of Eagle River, Alaska, Susan Sanders and her husband Mark of Virginia and Christie Kinney and her husband Bill of Helena, Montana. Mrs. Martin is also survived by seven grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren as well as other relatives and many friends.
Graveside Services was held at on Wednesday, June 2, 2010 at Woodland Memorial Park at Fairfield Bay, Arkansas.
Arrangements are by Olmstead Funeral Home.
