Sarah Melia was the daughter of John and Lydia Holloway. Sarah and James lost their first child, Mary A. Keen in 1893. Another daughter, Minnie, was born in 1898. In 1900, they are found in Elm Springs, Washington Co, Ark with John and Lydia. In 1910 the Keens had moved to the Wager Township in Benton Co and just north of Elm Springs. The 1930 Census for Elm Springs, Washington Co, Ark, reveals that they had moved back to that area.

James

James Thomas Keen and Sarah Melia R. Holloway, married 18 April 1892 in Washington Co, Arkansas. This according to the 1850-1900 Arkansas Marriages. James' last name was spelled Krin in error. James lived on Kansas St. in Springdale, Arkansas.

James Keen

James Thomas (Jim) Keen, resident of 610 Kansas St., passed away at 3:30 p.m. April 2 at his home after an illness of four weeks.

He was born September 11, 1869 in Alabama, the son of Don and Elizabeth Keen.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Mavis Carter, Springdale; --- grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 o'clock in the Elm Springs Methodist Church. Burial in the Elm Springs cemetery will be under the direction of Wasson Femeral Home of Siloam Springs.
