Wanda Lee Hale Cossey, 71, passed away Friday, Feb. 17. Survivors sons, Wayne Cossey, Mark Cossey; daughters, Arlene Shelton, Elaine Day, Mari Carroll. Alfred E. Cossey, 81, of Adona died Saturday, June 5, 2010. He was born in Charlotte, Ark., on Oct. 19, 1928, a son of Luther Cossey and Nettie Thornton Cossey.
Alfred was a former member of the Adona City Council and an avid member of the Sharp Gap Bluegrass Band.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Wanda Cossey of Adona; his mother, Nettie Thornton Cossey of Batesville; two sons, Wayne Cossey Greenbrier, Mark Cossey of Adona; three daughters, Arlene Shelton of Hot Springs, Elaine Day of Adona, Mari Carroll of Morrilton; two brothers, Luther Junior Cossey of Newport, James Cossey of Tuckerman; five sisters, Ruby Gilmore of Batesville, Alice Dean of Jonesboro, Lois Hanser of Iowa, Bonnie Stephen of Batesville, Doris Parker of Kansas City; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Bob Neal & Sons Chapel in Morrilton with Fred Shoemaker officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Interment will be at Liberty Cemetery in Adona. Service and Arrangements by Bob Neal & Sons of Morrilton.
