Lester Richard Leder, 85, of Ulm died Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at Baptist Health-Little Rock.

Lester was born June 14, 1928, in Arkansas County to Albert Carl Leder Sr. and Emilie Scheiderer Leder. He was a retired manager of Synergy Gas and member of Ulm Civic Club and Zion Lutheran Church.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Martha Leder; his second wife, Helen Leder; and his siblings, Margaret Leder, Harry Leder, Howard Leder, Jun Leder, Vernice Mason and A.C. Leder Jr.

Survivors are his son, Steven Leder, of Ulm; his daughters, Lois Upton and Gaye LaRue and husband Nathan, of Jonesboro; his step-children, J.J. (Tammy) Jones, of Hazen and Patty (Doug) Gaston, of Ocean Springs, Miss.; one brother, Johnnie Leder, of Stuttgart; one sister, Frances Hinson, of Stuttgart; three grandchildren, Merritt Upton, of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Ashton Leder, of Tuckerman, and Kaley LaRue, of Jonesboro; step-grandchildren, Tara (Jason) Burke, Tori (Clint) Hudson, Trey (Ashley) Kimbrell and Drew Kimbrell; and step-great-grandchildren, Lydia and Joseph Burke, Corbin Hudson and Marley Kimbrell.

Funeral services, officiated by the Rev. Johnnie Graham, are 2 p.m. Sunday at Zion Lutheran Church with visitation 1-2 p.m. before the service. Burial will be in Ulm Cemetery by Turpin Funeral Home of Stuttgart.
