Catherine Thompson Parker, 86, of Conway, formerly of Warren, died Wednesday March 9, 2011 at Conway Regional Medical Center. Born March 5, 1925 in Bradley County, she was a daughter of the late Herschel Flay and Bennie Lou Lephiew Thompson. She was a homemaker and a member of Corinth Baptist Church at Wilmar. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Hamilton Parker; three brothers, James Thompson, Austin Thompson, Jessie Lee Thompson; a sister, Dorothy Jane Smith; granddaughter, Rachel Michelle Parker Clark. Survivors include two sons, Preston Conway Parker of Warren, Felton (Eddie) Parker of Conway; two daughters, Levie Lee Angle of Hermitage, Johnnie Angle of Conway; two brothers Lawrence Dean Thompson of Warren, William Martin Thompson of Marmaduke; three sisters, Annie Jewell Forrest of Banks, Lillie Belle Temple of Hermitage, Grace Duncan of Warren; seven grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren. Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Adams-Singer Cemetery with Rev. Wayman Mann officiating. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home of Fordyce.
