Funeral of Mrs Smith Held at Melbourne
Mrs Georgie Smith aged 71, widow of Dr. R. L. Smith of Melbourne died at the home of a daughter, Mrs Powell Dixon, at Newport, Tuesday.
Mrs Smith was born at Melbourne and lived there until five years ago, when she moved to Newport to make her home with her daughter.
She is survived also by two other daughters, Mrs. S. P. Girkin of Searcy and Mrs Rhead Dennis of Tuckerman; two step-daughters, Mrs Floyd Phillips of Pine Bluff and Mrs Charles Remondino of National City, Calif.; two brothers, W. W. Taylor of Little Rock and Leonard Taylor of Sage and six sisters, Mrs W. B. Shell and Mrs Edgar Carey of Wenatchee, Wash., Mrs T. E. Sutton of Eagletown, Mrs Cleo Reeves of Detroit, Mish., Mrs Evie Wrtn of Melbourne and Mrs Lilly Roten of Sage. (All the names listed were spelled as written in the article ver)
Funeral was at Melbourne Baptist Church Thursday afternoon, with Rev. Hugh Cooper officiating. Burial was at Melbourne.
