Daughter of Bisco Hamilton "Ham" Gifford & Temple "Tempie" Moody Gifford.
Married William Edmond "Ed" Watson, August 8, 1897, Izard County, Arkansas.

Dora Watson Dies

Dora Gifford Watson, daughter of the late Hamilton and Temple Moody Gifford was born at Newburg, Arkansas November 7, 1878 and died in Wenatchee, Washington July 23, 1962, following a long illness. She was married August 8, 1897 to Edd Watson who preceded her in death by 25 years, having passed away in 1937. They were the parents of one son and three daughters, all of whom survived their mother. The children are: Bill Watson of Spokane, Washington; Mrs. Frank Jones (Mittie) of Mtn. Home, Arkansas and Mrs. R. C. Wells (Opal) and Mrs. Roby Standerford (Novella) both of Wenatchee, Washington. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Mrs. Watson had been a faithful member of the Church of Christ for some 25 years.

Memorial services for the deceased were conducted at the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church on Monday, July 30 by Rev. Remmel Rowden, following which burial was made in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery under direction of Carter Funeral Service of Salem. Casket bearers were: Earl McVey, Leonard Wyatt, Thurl Davis, Shelby Yancey, Ceborn Weston and Otis Yancey.
