C. T. Wackerly Jr., age 48, of Desha died Friday in a local hospital. He was born at Jamestown, was in the trucking business, a veteran of World War II, a member of the VFW and American Legion and was a Baptist.
Survived by his wife, Mrs. Mary Pierce Wackerly of the home, one son, Johnny Wackerly of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Patsy Scillion of North Little Rock, and Miss Rhonda Wackerly of the home, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. T. Wackerly of Little Rock; two brothers, Laverl Wackerly of McHue and George Wackerly of Judsonia, five sisters, Mrs. Oleta Creech of Floral, Mrs. Jerry Sontang and Mrs. Monnie Bowen of Little Rock; Mrs. Jane Thompson of North Little Rock, Mrs. Lavon Lewis of Iowa City, Iowa,and one granddaughter. Funereal services were held today at 2:30 p.m. at the Hutchinson Church of Christ with Ralph Wallis officiating. Burial was in the Palestine Cemetery by Batesville Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Sonny McBride, John Schubert, Darryl Sontag, Braden Reeves, W. C. Wilson and Wayne Pierce.

Shares a double stone with his daughter Peggy Lynn Waskerly
