Georgia Mae McHughes Butler, 75, of Mayflower, died Sunday, August 10, 2008. She was born December 18, 1932 in Cabot, Arkansas; a daughter of the late W A & Mary McHughes. Georgia was retired from the Purchasing Department of Timex. She was an avid bass & crappie fisherman. Mrs. Butler also loved mini road trips in the family corvette & going to car shows. She was a member of the Central Arkansas Corvette Club & was of the Church of Christ faith.

She is remembered as an immaculate housekeeper. Everything had its place & was always in its place. Georgia would clean when the house didn’t need cleaning. She enjoyed working in her flowerbeds too.

Survivors are her husband of thirty-five years, Jim Butler, who was her best friend, soul-mate & best fishing partner; three sons, Bob Pierce & wife Glenda; Steve Hull & Kreth Pierce; two daughters, Deborah Butler; Kimberly Re & husband Tommy; a sister, Marietta Tipton & husband Doss; brothers, Don McHughes & wife Katherine, Larry McHughes, A R McHughes & wife Linda; ten grandchildren, three great-grandchildren & many other family members & a host of friends & neighbors.

Don, Larry, & A R McHughes, Tommy Re, Doss Tipton & Danny Butler were pallbearers.
