Mrs. Derreberry was a daughter of Edmond Hart who was well known in this county, being a man of affairs and esteemed integrity. The deceased has lived in this county ever since she was seven years old and was one of Benton county's oldest and most respected ladies. She was an invalid for 46 years and her ill health was due to exposures and hardship that she bore during the Civil war, and despite her enfeebled condition she knit thirteen sweaters and six pairs of sox in the past few months for the boys of the present war, and thru it all she bore her affliction bravely. She was a firm believer in the Christ and His church. She became a christian in her early teens and died in the faith of a living Christ.
