*Obituary Orval Woodrow Apple, 78, of McHue died Tuesday, June 24, 1997, at his home.
Born Oct. 9, 1918 in McHue, he was the son of the late Tom and Florence Lee Apple.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Lois Apple; a son, Larry Apple, of McHue; and two grandsons, Brad Apple and Brandon Apple, both of McHue. A brother, Fred Apple of Leachville, also died this week.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Londa Lou Apple; three brothers, Winfred, Paul "Jack" Apple and Bryan Apple, and three sisters, Vera Weyers, Mammie Crowell and Edna Russ.
The funeral was Wednesday in the chapel of Willis Funeral Service of Batesville. Burial followed at Hutchinson Mountain Cemetery. Pallbearers were Glen Mohlke, Reggie Barber, Donnie Creech, Larry Boozer, James Inman and Travis Gray. Honorary pallbearers were Wesley Stewart, Lloyd Apple and Bob Strother. Officiating ministers were Bob Reynolds and Jackie Wilson.
